Reforged Labs Launches AI-Powered Ad-Creation Service for Mobile Game Studios

Reforged Labs has just launched its new ad-creation service in open beta. This platform uses AI to help mobile game studios create video ads more easily. Reforged believes this service will simplify a process that can often feel overwhelming.

The service is powered by their AI Creative Engine, which has learned from high-performing mobile ads. It offers full-service solutions, especially for smaller studios that don’t have a lot of time or money to spend on ad creation.

Reforged provides a “storefront” filled with templates for different video ads. These templates are based on successful ads that the Creative Engine has analyzed. Game developers can pick a template, upload their assets—like gameplay footage—and the AI will generate an ad that fits the template.

Recently, the company raised $3.9 million in seed funding to support this initiative. The funding round was led by DCM, with participation from Y Combinator, Epakon Capital, Goodwater Capital, Phoenix Fund, Asymmetry Ventures, and several angel investors.

What’s great about this service is that it handles all the work involved in ad creation. The AI can generate animations and sound effects. It even adds voiceovers using text-to-speech technology and creates lifelike avatars. Plus, it edits the ad to ensure smooth transitions and can localize speech and text in over 30 languages. Reforged claims it can produce market-ready ads in just 24 hours.

Robert Huynh, the CEO and co-founder of Reforged, shared insights about the launch with GamesBeat. He said, “The creative engine is this amazing AI brain that takes in all the ad creatives on the market. It learns from them, figures out what makes them successful, and then generates templates that we can easily understand and choose from. Instead of spending weeks trying to figure out what ads people want, we do the hard work for you.”

Huynh pointed out that Reforged’s ideal customers are small mobile studios. These studios often have just one or two people focused on creating ads. What sets Reforged apart is its exclusive focus on mobile gaming ads. All of its training and research center on what works in the mobile game advertising space.

He added, “Many small indie game studios want to level the playing field. It’s tough to get attention these days. The mobile gaming industry has been struggling with monetization. I believe the industry will shift toward more personalized ads that are cheaper and faster to produce.”
