QANplatform and IBM Partner to Launch Quantum-Resistant AI-Powered Cybersecurity Solution
QANplatform, an innovative Layer 1 blockchain platform, has teamed up with IBM. They’re excited to announce their partnership as an official IBM Business Partner. Together, they’re introducing QAN Q-Cluster. It’s a tamper-proof system that uses AI to detect log anomalies. Plus, it incorporates quantum-resistant blockchain technology for durability and persistence.
This collaboration showcases QANplatform’s commitment to providing secure solutions that tackle real-world business challenges using IBM technology.
According to IBM’s 2024 Cost of a Data Breach Report, the average cost of a data breach has now reached $4.88 million per incident. That’s a 10% increase from last year. Breaches involving data stored across multiple environments, like public and private clouds, averaged over $5 million. They took about 283 days to identify and contain. Alarmingly, one in three breaches involved shadow data. This highlights how difficult it is to track and protect data. It shows a critical need for strong cybersecurity measures across all sectors.
When a cybersecurity breach occurs, hackers often target logging systems. They do this to delete or alter evidence of the breach. After an attack, it can be nearly impossible to identify or prove what happened. While log aggregators can help, they can also be compromised. This makes it hard for victims to tell which logs are genuine and which have been tampered with. This can create a false sense of security.
QANplatform’s solution addresses this problem directly. QAN Q-Cluster guarantees 100% confidence in cluster integrity. It’s mathematically proven that the cluster cannot be breached to remove evidence. Every operation, whether malicious or legitimate, is logged to an append-only, quantum-resistant blockchain. This ensures complete auditability and tamper-proofing.
The core solution consists of five custom components. These components monitor and gather Kubernetes events. They cache and aggregate these events for AI-based analysis. Additionally, a storage daemon ensures that both raw and processed log data remain intact. It utilizes QANplatform, which is a quantum-resistant, enterprise-grade hybrid blockchain platform.
QAN Q-Cluster will also integrate several IBM components. This includes IBM Fusion HCI for a stable hardware foundation, Red Hat OpenShift as a robust operating system, and IBM watsonx, an AI and data platform designed for businesses. IBM Guardium QuantumSafe will provide insights into the infrastructure’s post-quantum readiness.
Users in sectors like government, banking, finance, healthcare, and supply chain can benefit from QAN Q-Cluster. It helps them effectively manage and monitor classified information and operational logs. This platform protects sensitive transaction data and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. It also maintains audit trails and secures user data across complex IT infrastructures.
