Immutable and Sequence Partner to Enhance Web3 Gaming Experience with New Embedded Features

Immutable, a Web3 gaming platform, has teamed up with Sequence, a development platform for Web3 games. This partnership aims to create a more unified gaming experience for players and developers alike.

Alex Connolly, the CTO of Immutable, shared his excitement about the collaboration. He said, “We are thrilled to continue upgrading the experience available to both gamers and developers on Immutable through this partnership with Sequence. This marks a significant step forward for the Web3 gaming space and makes the choice of where to build even simpler for game developers.”

As part of this partnership, Immutable is launching a new feature called the Embedded Passport. This is powered by Sequence’s Embedded Wallet. Additionally, Sequence will enhance its in-game marketplace technology by supporting Immutable’s marketplace contracts and Orderbook. These changes will help streamline onboarding and monetization, offering developers a smoother, more gaming-focused user experience.

This collaboration brings together two key players in the Web3 gaming world. Immutable has the largest ecosystem in this space, with over 440 game developers using Web3 technology to improve developer economics and player rewards. Some notable games in this ecosystem include Gods Unchained, Illuvium, and Guild of Guardians.

Through this partnership, Immutable will provide developers with tools to manage and customize their Embedded Wallets via the Immutable Builder. This low-code developer portal, powered by Sequence, includes advanced analytics tools. These tools help creators optimize essential metrics like user acquisition, retention, player demographics, and monetization.

Sequence has been a pioneer in Web3 game technology since its founding in 2017. They created the first account abstraction smart contract wallet and contributed to important Ethereum standards like ERC-1155, ERC-1271, and ERC-6492. Sequence has processed over $5.3 billion in transactions and serves thousands of developers, including major game publishers like Ubisoft and TapNation, which has over one billion downloads.

Peter Kieltyka, the CEO of Sequence, commented on their growth together in the industry. He said, “Sequence and Immutable have grown up together in Web3 gaming from the industry’s earliest days. This partnership lets us accelerate each other with the combined strengths of world-class developer solutions and a massive ecosystem to drive the potential of Web3-enhanced games forward in the eyes of all developers and players.”
