Hashflow Launches xOS: A Game-Changing Zero-Knowledge Settlement Layer for Decentralized Trading

Hashflow, a multichain decentralized exchange (DEX), has just launched its new Exchange OS, or xOS. This universal zero-knowledge (ZK) settlement layer allows users to prove their transactions on the blockchain.
So, what’s the big deal? Well, xOS combines Risc Zero’s ZK prover with Celestia’s technology. This combination helps validate off-chain transactions on-chain. In simpler terms, it makes trading more secure and transparent.
Celestia ensures that all the data needed for verifying trades is easily accessible. Risc Zero provides the computing power to create ZK proofs. Hashflow plans to add more ZK provers and data availability layers in the future. This will give developers more options while keeping costs down for users.
Hashflow points out a significant issue with current exchanges: they centralize risk. Users often have to trust platforms without having a way to verify their operations independently. With provable exchanges, the settlement layer is separated from the service layer. This means that exchange operators can enhance the user experience while allowing for independent verification of key operations.
Why does this matter? It can help prevent failures like the collapse of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange in 2022. xOS also prioritizes user safety. When you use an exchange with xOS, the onboarding process happens on-chain. You can exit whenever you want, without needing permission.
Transparency is another key feature. Users can verify on-chain whether the exchange actually holds the assets it claims. Plus, xOS aims to deliver a trading experience that feels fast, responsive, and scalable—similar to traditional order-book exchanges.
Hashflow DEX lets users trade across major blockchains like Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Solana without the hassle of bridging. It uses an off-chain Request for Quote (RFQ) model to provide the best prices directly from professional market makers. If a better price appears on-chain, Hashflow will automatically execute the trade at that price.
Recently, Hashflow introduced Aggregator+. This feature improves its ability to source liquidity from top DEXs in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space, including Uniswap and Sushiswap. To support this, Hashflow has teamed up with Barter, which integrates its liquidity aggregation technology with Hashflow’s smart order routing.
